The job total plus a small protection fee goes into SOV Escrow.

Parts released

When you confirm the pro has started, the parts money is released.

Labour released

When you sign off, the labour is released. If you stay silent for 72 hours it releases automatically.

SOV mediation

Raise a problem and escrow freezes. Our team reviews both sides within 7 days and proposes a fair outcome: release, refund or split.

Dispute Resolution Centre (T&T)

If we can’t settle it, it can go to the Dispute Resolution Centre for independent mediation.

Petty Civil Court

As a last resort, either side can take the claim to the Petty Civil Court.

Quick answers

Does it cost anything to post a job?

No. Posting and getting quotes is free. You pay a 5% protection fee (minimum TT$25) only when you hire.

Can the tradesman see what other pros quoted?

No. Bids are sealed, so prices stay honest and there is no haggling.

What if the work is not right?

Do not sign off. Raise a problem and the money stays frozen while we help sort it out.

What if I just want to call someone?

Use the free FixNowTT directory. Protected is the extra-safe option for bigger jobs.
